Brother: a tale of two sons – quick game review

I played this game briefly. I couldn’t continue it much since this is a coop game. Until the point where I was, I was still able to play the two characters but it was not fun. This game might give me a better experience if I play it with someone else like it should be.

From a game design perspective, it barely has a tutorial and heavily relies on the player’s past gaming experience to fill in the vocabulary gap. I had to trial and error a bit to know which button moved who.

On a positive note, there is no dialogue or conversation. The character doesn’t speak in any registered language so there’s no exposition dump, I suppose. I can play it with my friends who do not understand English.

In conclusion, it was a mistake to play it by myself. I should have played it with my brother or a friend.
